Bitcoin Lightning Network wallets
The bitcoin lightning network is great. It allows you to send bitcoin from any lightning wallet app to your Alby wallet... and vice versa! You will find a selection of mobile lightning wallets here.
There are two ways to receive bitcoin in your Alby wallet:
Enter your lightning address [yourname]@getalby.com into the other app. (You can customize your personal address! Go to: Lightning Address)
Create and enter a lightning invoice into the other app. Learn here how to create an invoice.
Bitcoin (Onchain) Wallets
The lightning network is a decentralized, peer-to-peer network which allows users to transfer bitcoin off-chain instantaneously with very low transaction fees. The lightning network is built on top of the bitcoin network, and is thus called a layer two solution.
