Why do I need a password to access the Alby extension?

The Alby extension unlock password is necessary to lock your wallet and prevent access from another person using Alby in the same browser. Therefore the password is comparable to a PIN from your mobile phone. It is used to encrypt and decrypt the connection data (i.e. macaroons, passwords and other credentials).
