# How can I regain access if I’ve lost my password?

Enter an invalid password, and a 'Config' option will appear below the password field. Click it to return to the onboarding screen. From there, you can set a new password and reconnect your Lightning account. Note that any previously stored data in the extension will be lost, as it can no longer be decrypted with the old password.
