# Sub-wallets

Sometimes, you want to keep our personal wallet separate from the one we use for **business  projects**, **family members** and **friends**. Here, you can easily create multiple wallets. In Alby Hub they are called sub-wallets.&#x20;

## Overview

1. [Create a new Sub-wallet](#create-a-new-sub-wallet)
2. [Connect a Sub-wallet](#connect-a-sub-wallet)
3. [Manage a Sub-wallet](#manage-a-sub-wallet)
4. [Link a Sub-wallet with an Alby Account](#link-a-sub-wallet-with-an-alby-account)<br>

Let's get started by making you the provider of wallets for your projects, friends & family. 👍

## Connect a Sub-wallet

There are different options to connect your sub-wallet to other apps such as **Alby Go**, an **Alby Account** or the **Alby Browser Extension** depending on how you or the intended user plan to use it.

### Example: Connect your sub-wallet to Alby Go

{% embed url="<https://demos.getalby.com/demo/cmdhtor1b001a150htfbr7gux>" %}

1. Open the tab for Alby Go. You'll find links to download the app.&#x20;
2. You also find the connection secret. Open Alby Go to scan or paste this connection secret.

<figure><img src="https://2706948649-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FWIUBf3ZZaBGu2ee6Y8lU%2Fuploads%2FpwVapl0ibHOWOghHJ2mV%2FScreenshot%202026-04-21%20at%2019.10.09.png?alt=media&#x26;token=8f0f6e78-0034-4aeb-8054-29c2800173d1" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="info" %}
For your security, these connection details are only visible now and cannot be retrieved later. If needed, you can store them in a password manager for future reference.
{% endhint %}
