To increase your lightning balance you need to either top up your balance (guide) or open a lightning payment channel using the bitcoin On-Chain Balance in your Hub. Opening a new channel helps you to accomplish the following:
Transfer funds from your On-chain Balance to your Lightning Balance
Top up your Lightning Balance
Be ready to send bitcoin via the lightning network
That’s it. By opening a lightning channel with your On-Chain Balance your are connecting your Alby Hub to the lightning network and you are transferring sats to your Lightning Balance. 🚀
