## Other bitcoin wallet

You can send bitcoin from another bitcoin wallet to top up the balance of your Alby Account.

#### Bitcoin Lightning Network wallets <a href="#lightning" id="lightning"></a>

The bitcoin lightning network is great. It allows you to send bitcoin from any lightning wallet app to Alby... and vice versa! You will find a selection of mobile lightning wallets [here](https://lightningnetworkstores.com/wallets).

There are two ways to receive bitcoin in your Alby wallet:

1. Enter your lightning address \[*yourname*]@getalby.com into the other app. *(You can customize your personal address! Go to:* [Lightning Address](https://guides.getalby.com/user-guide/alby-account/features/lightning-address)*)*
2. Or create a lightning invoice in Alby Hub, Browser Extension or Go and enter it into the other app that you use to top up your wallet.

#### Bitcoin (Onchain) Wallets <a href="#bitcoin-onchain-wallets" id="bitcoin-onchain-wallets"></a>

The lightning network is a decentralized, peer-to-peer network which allows users to transfer bitcoin off-chain instantaneously with very low transaction fees. The lightning network is built on top of the bitcoin network, and is thus called a layer two solution.

The process of bringing bitcoin on-chain to the lightning network is called 'swap'. To see how to deposit bitcoin from a regular on-chain wallet to your Alby lightning wallet, watch this video guide:

[https://youtu.be/RAIq\_74dpu4youtu.be](https://youtu.be/RAIq_74dpu4)

To top up your Alby Account from a bitcoin onchain wallet, you can use one of these services:

* [Boltz Exchange](https://boltz.exchange/?ref=alby)
* [FixedFloat](https://ff.io/?ref=qnnjvywb)

## Other crypto wallet

Alby Account uses BTC as its native currency. However, it is possible to convert most cryptocurrencies into bitcoin, and send to your Alby wallet.

#### Crypto wallets <a href="#crypto-wallets" id="crypto-wallets"></a>

To top up your Alby Account with other cryptocurrencies, you can use one of these services:

1. [Boltz Exchange](https://boltz.exchange/?ref=alby)
2. [FixedFloat](https://ff.io/?ref=qnnjvywb)
