# Which service fees apply for using an Alby account?

Your Alby account supercharges your connected wallet or lightning node with features.

Alby does not charge any transaction fees for sending and receiving payments in Alby Hub. You’ll pay fees for sending transactions on the lightning network charged by routing nodes which are lower in Alby Hub than in many other wallets.

To sustain and provide this service commercially, there are ongoing expenses that must be accounted for. That's why there is a [subscription fee](https://getalby.com/pricing), leading to exciting opportunities:

1. **Improved Service:** This change allows us to continually invest in better technologies and services to enhance the reliability of your Alby account and make it more powerful.
2. **Sustainable Growth:** This fee helps us to sustainably grow and expand our offerings, paving the way for exciting new features and improvements in the future.

We want to make sure that this fee is modest and is aimed at maintaining and improving the high standards you've come to expect from us. Your satisfaction remains our top priority.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to [reach out](https://support.getalby.com).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://guides.getalby.com/user-guide/alby-account/faq/which-service-fees-apply-for-using-an-alby-account.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
