is a self-hosted, open-source cryptocurrency payment processor and it's free.

Who uses BTCPay Server today:

  • Merchants who sell products and services online or in person

  • Charities and non-profits looking to accept donations or crowdfund their dream project

  • Developers building on top of bitcoin and payment infrastructure

  • Members of local communities willing to onboard people to their BTCPay instance and offer payment processing as a service or for free, creating a circular economy.

To be able to receive payments you need to configure a wallet. There are .

Your Alby Account with its integrated wallet is one of these options. It is convenient to use, because you do not have to care about node and liquidity management. It works out of the box. BUT it is custodial.

Let's have a look how you can connect your Alby Account to your BTCPay Server:

Warm-up step 1: on the demo app or on an hosted BTCPay Server instance.

Warm-up step 2:

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________

Now we are ready to configure a wallet in your BTCPay Server, so that you can start receiving payments.

Step 1: Click on 'Set up a Lightning node' or on 'Lightning'

Step 2: Insert your LNDhub credentials and click on 'Test connection'. You'll find them:

In your dashboard on getalby.com: Go to the "Connect" page and select 'LNDHub credentials'. Now you can create your LNDHub credentials.

Note: after clicking "Create new LNDhub credentials", all previous credentials will become invalid, and the new credentials will not be stored at getalby.com. In order to use same credentials multiple times, you need to save them by yourself.

Click on 'Save' and you are done

Now you are ready to receive donations or sell goods and services for bitcoin.

Congrats. You successfully connected your Alby Account.
